2002 Fall Sports Banquet

The WebHogs Razorback Club held its inaugural Fall Sports Banquet at the Fayetteville Town Center on the Square on Friday, September 6th. The evening started with the Razorback Cheerleaders and the HogWild Band leading the crowd of close to 200 in some Razorback cheers and Hog Calls. During the reception, several really nice silent auction items were on display. The items included a Razorback fold-up chair autographed by Matt Jones, another autographed by Shawn Andrews, 2 basketballs signed by Razorback Basketball Head Coach Stan Heath, and, um... a six-pack of HogSlobber Ale.

WebHogs Razorback Club President Rick Bawiec started off the dinner portion of the evening by leading the crowd in a rousing Hog Call. Coach Stan Heath spoke next while the WebHogs began "grubbing" on an awesome dinner of chicken breast filets covered with a mushroom pesto sauce, baked potatoes, and salads provide by Grubs Bar and Grille (the WebHogs official Fayetteville hangout).

Ex-Razorback basketball assistant coach and current Director of Development for Women's Athletics spoke after Coach Heath about the Ladybacks and some of the Ladyback events coming up.

Razorback Foundation President Chuck Dicus was the last to speak for the evening. After his speech, Mr. Dicus was presented a check for $5000 from the WHRC. In just over a year and a half, the WebHogs Razorback Club has become a Broyles Mathews donor thanks to all the hard work of the board of directors of the club AND YOU, THE MEMBERS OF THE WHRC!!!!! PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK!
