The WebHogs Razorback Club held it's Kickoff Tailgate Party on Saturday, April 7th, 2001 in Fayetteville in conjunction with the Spring scrimmage "Red-White" football game. The party was a huge success! Members started gathering around 10:30 am to help set up and talk Razorback sports. Around 11:30, we all headed up the hill to the under-construction Reynold's Razorback Stadium to watch the scrimmage. JC Carr had all the food ready upon our return. JC is to barbeque as Michaelangelo is to painting ceilings!

Several "celebrities" were on hand including Clay Henry, publisher of Hawgs Illustrated; Nate Allen, sports writer for the Morning News of Northwest Arkansas; Otis Kirk, publisher of the Arkansas Recruiting Report and also with the Morning News; Dudley Dawson, sports writer for the Northwest Arkansas Times and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette; Harold Horton, Vice-President of the Razorback Foundation; Chuck Barrett, host of the statewide sports talk show SportsRap; Josh Melton, starting center for the Arkansas Razorback football team; and Cameron Glenn, sophomore tight end for the Razorbacks. Former Razorback Bobby Joe Edmonds also stopped by. Edmonds claimed the smell of the BBQ led him to the parking lot!

Clay Henry later posted the following review of the party on the Hawg Lounge message board on the Hawgs Illustrated website:

"For the record, I've never had better barbecue than J.C. Carr's food this afternoon. From the pork, to the chicken to the hot links, it was delicious. He fixed up a care package before the scrimmage for Chuck Barrett to take to baseball. Now I know why Chuck's considerable girth is still expanding. Man, he took a lot of food. The WebHogs Razorback Club can't help but be a success, with J.C. cooking such a great feast."
